What is Botox?

Botox® (botulinum toxin) is a non-surgical injectable treatment that temporarily softens fine lines and wrinkles by temporarily immobilizing and relaxing the facial muscles responsible for expression lines. We also use Botox® in the treatment of medical conditions such as TMJ, Migraines, and excessive sweating in the hands, feet, and armpits.

Am I a Good Candidate for Botox?

  • Botox® is ideal for healthy adults (25+) who want to reduce dynamic wrinkles or prevent them from forming. A consultation with our expert physician injector will ensure the treatment is right for you.
  • Individuals who are not suitable candidates to receive Botox® are those who have conditions such as:
    • ALS
    • Myasthenia Gravis
    • Lambert-Eaton syndrome
    • Currently pregnant or breastfeeding
    • Currently or recently on antibiotics such as aminoglycosides or sulfa drugs

Expected Results

  • Results will generally become visible within 3 to 14 days after treatment with optimal results seen at 2 weeks post injection. A follow up with the physician takes place 2 weeks post injection for reassessment and, if needed, a touch-up to ensure the desired results are achieved. For best results, we recommend treatments at least every 3–4 months.
